A study on impact of SAHAJA a CSR initiative of Jindal stainless limited, Jajpur Orissa

Half of the population constitutes women and girls still, there are various issues that women and girls are facing regarding education, health, and participation of workforce. Around 355 million women and girls menstruating inspite of growing nation there are areas where women faces significant barriers to a comfortable and dignified experience with menstrual hygiene awareness and management. Menstrual hygiene education for women is necessary before their first period and 71% of girls in India report no knowledge about menstruation and even people still thinks that menstruation is a sensitive topic, not to talk about especially in public. There are families who cannot afford to buy sanitary napkins. The present Research paper aimed to study the awareness of Menstrual hygiene in the local areas of Jajpur, Orissa. Women and girls lack access to sanitary materials and pads which are necessary to maintain the menstrual hygiene management. Every Women has a right to have sanitary protection but women out there uses unsanitized cloth during and it is due to following reasons:- • Unaffordability • Misinformation and myths The results of the study indicates the positive and significant improvement over menstrual hygiene with time and efforts of SHGs like SAHAJA. Now what actually needed is to accelerate the efforts in order to make affordable and accessible to all the women of all the rural as well as urban areas with cost effective strategy through education, information, and Health awareness.

Smart cultivation system for better farming practices

Smart cultivation system for better farming practices is intended to create an automated IOT based system that helps ease the process of cultivating plants. This is a low-cost method and an effective solution to determine various factors such as moisture, temperature, and humidity which influence the growth of plants. For the agricultural sector, the use of proper methods of cultivation and irrigation plays a significant role in determining the quality of the crops. The main aim is to maximize the benefits of proper cultivation methods whilst reducing spoilage of crops and wastage of water. This system brings into play the Arduino UNO boards, MCU units, two low-cost sensors connected over a common server to collect the necessary data.

Effect of cognition on work perception of working and non-working women

Cognition is the mental process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses. It is in essence, the ability to perceive and react, process and understand, store and retrieve information, make decisions and produce appropriate responses. Intelligence plays a very determining role in the adjustment of an individual. An individual with higher intelligence is more likely to perceive his environment more accurately and respond properly to the stimuli present there and thus making his adjustment to the environment in a better way than does individual of lesser intelligence. The present study investigated the effect of cognition/ intelligence on all aspects of work perception of working & non-working women of Muzaffarpur District by applying incidental cum purposive sample on 240 women, half of them were working and the rest half were non-working (housewife). The result indicated that working women were found superior in intelligence and better in work orientation

Automatic power generation using rain water harvesting and solar energy

Over the years of the rising population, practices that increase demand for water supply and electricity have grown in industries as well as in the expansion of agriculture. Monsoon is still the main hope and the source of our agriculture. In this perception, water-saving has become a necessity for mankind. Rainwater harvesting is a way to capture rainwater at the time of the downpour, store the water above the ground or download the underground water and use it later. Presently, rainwater harvesting is being carried out by the method of using the pathway at rooftops. But, the accumulation of dry leaves and microbial contamination in the rainwater pathway blocks the outlet and degrades the quality of water. The above-mentioned problem will be addressed in the present investigation, which aims to design an automated rainwater pathway, thereby enabling the collection of pure water. This system will make use of a mechanism that will be actuated by a rain gutter which is actuated by a servo motor, controlled by a rain sensor.

Customer satisfaction towards the application of modern technology: A case study of Kashi Gomti Samyut Gramin Bank in Jaunpur district

This analysis is based on primary data and carried out on customer satisfaction regarding internet technology with special reference to Kashi Gomti Samyut Gramin Bank which is the one of the RRBs in Jaunpur district of U.P. The sample size of the study is 100 and convenience sampling method was used to collect the data. The appropriate statistical tools were applied in this study such as mean score, chi-square and percentage analysis for getting appropriate results. SMS alert, user-friendly ATM services and mobile application with modern features like NEFT/ IMPS/RTGS, cheque request, Bill payments for various services which were considered by the majority of the respondents. Most of the customers are found satisfied with SMS Alert, 24 hours helpline, etc. Due to lack of awareness customers don’t use frequently some banking services like mobile ATM facility, Internet technology, and RTGS, etc.
