Machining Challenges in Stainless Steel – A Review

In today’s world, AISI Stainless Steel contributes to almost half of the world’s production and consumption for industrial purposes. Stainless Steel is most popular alloy widely used in part manufacturing due to its inherent properties like high strength, great corrosion resistant, high ductility etc. but are hard materials to machining on-base performance criteria like metallurgical aspect, low thermal conductivity, chip formation, cutting tool wear and surface integrity. The surface roughness and material removal rate have been identified as quality attributes and are assumed to be directly related to performance, productivity, and production costs. In this paper study of various machining problem discussed by different researchers and their probable solution, which helps to reduce tool wear, increase corrosion resistance, high surface finish by reducing machining complexity.

Implementation of Hybrid Data Collection (Mobile Element and Hierarchical Clustering) in WSN

Wireless sensor network considers as real-time embedded system deployed in a particular region to sense various types of environmental parameters such as temperature, pressure, gas, humidity etc. The huge applications of WSN like habitat monitoring, forest fire detection, surveillance, transport monitoring etc. have created a lot of interest among the researcher community in recent past. Typically, WSNs are densely deployed in hazardous places where battery recharge or replacement is nearly impossible and human monitoring scheme is highly risky. There are many typical issues such as power constraints, limited computing capacity, open environment; radio connectivity makes the sensor nodes faulty many times. Once the network is established, nodes keep on sensing the information and the battery power goes exponentially. Whenever the nodes detect any event, they send the information to the other nodes or to the base station. Sometimes it happens that the same information received by nearby sensor nodes can be received by the base station that makes the network inefficient. To avoid this data redundancy and to make the network most energy efficient, data aggregation and sensor fusion have been emphasized in the literature. Many routing protocols with many different ideas have been proposed in the literature to make the network energy efficient. A cluster-based routing protocol is one of these efficient ideas, where sensor nodes are divided into a number of groups and each group is called as a cluster. One group leader is elected in each cluster known as Cluster Head (CH). Data aggregation is obtained at the leader node. The leader node/CH is only responsible for sending the message to the BS. The general system model for clustering based WSN. LEACH is the first famous hierarchical routing protocol which is proven to be most efficient over traditional routing protocol. In LEACH, the CH is elected in a probabilistic manner and tries to balance the load at each sensor node on a rotation basis. In the proposed model, an attempt has been made to improve the performance of LEACH protocol in view of electing an appropriate Super Cluster Head (SCH) among the CHs by applying suitable fuzzy descriptors. Only SCH is allowed to send the message to the BS by reducing the number of message retransmissions performed by the CHs.

Digital Stethoscope: A New Approach to know and Hear Heart Beat and Heart Frequency Rate

The motive of this journal is to digitalize the stethoscope and improve and make easier and accurate measurement of heart beat and frequency rate. The part of the motive of this device is everyone can hear them heart beat and to know about the health with the help of any instruction and network and also heart beat frequency rate, heart beat sound recorded using additional devices and the recording signal (heart beat sound or frequency rate) easily transfer by using smart phone with related apps.

Comparison of FxLMS and NFxLMS Algorithms in MATLAB Using Active Vibration Control

The paper presents simulation results of the performance of adaptive filtering algorithms such as Filtered –x Least Mean Square (FxLMS) and the Normalized Filtered-x Least Mean Square (NFxLMS) algorithm using the concept of active vibration control. The FxLMS and NFxLMS algorithms are most popular in adaptive filtering feed-forward control methods. The FxLMS and the NFxLMS are used in order to overcome the disadvantages of conventional Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm. The MATLAB implementations for both the algorithms are carried out and the parameters such as convergence rate, efficiency, and step size results are compared using the principle of Active Vibration Control.

Manilkara zapota (L.) P.Royen (Sapodilla): A Review

Manilkara zapota, also known as Sapodilla, is very commonly distributed in the Indian subcontinent. It is an important member of Sapotaceae family as it is well known all over the world for its traditional medicinal uses. Numerous phytoconstituents have been reported from the plant by different authors that are responsible for many biological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritis, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant, anti-tumor and anti-diabetic activities. The present article describes a detailed review of literature for this plant species including taxonomy, pharmacology, and phytochemistry in an organized way. This review paper will surely serve as an important source for the future scientific investigations on this plant.

Customer Perception: Technology Based Banking and its Impact on Financial Inclusion

In the banking sector, digital technology offers an unprecedented opportunity to connect people to services such as savings, loans, insurance, and payments. India remains among the most cash-intensive economies in the world, with a cash-to GDP ratio of around 12 percent. Around 97 percent of all transactions in the country are carried out in cash, and India remains amongst the countries with the lowest access to digital payments. The digital mode of payments gathered momentum in 2016-17, according to RBIs annual report. Technology has proved to be an effective tool to expand financial inclusion. With the Government initiatives, RBI has recommended banks to move towards greater technology adoption to drive financial inclusion. In this paper, the authors analyze the pattern of usage of technology by customers for banking operations and investigate the linkages between the customer satisfaction factors and the factors that influence a customer to move towards technology for various banking services. The study brings out various attributes and factors that influence a customer decision towards using technology tools for banking, makes a quality assessment and brings out the impact on customers’ satisfaction. Finally, with the help of exploratory factor analysis, the paper identifies the factors that attract customers mostly to use the technology tools in banking operations.
