Gauging the proportion and impact of drug-drug interactions in the prescriptions of geriatric patients on medications affecting the cardiovascular system

Background: Cardiovascular ailments belong to some of the most important contributing factors for the mortality and reduction in quality of life in developing nations. Patients on prescriptions with many medications are at a heightened risk for the development of adverse reactions especially resulting from drug-drug interactions. This study aimed at assessing the pattern, proportion and impact of such Drug-Drug Interactions (DDIs) in patients with various cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular co-morbidities. Methods: This study was conducted in the Department of Internal Medicine of a tertiary care center. The prescription of 200 patients was analysed for demographic information like gender, age, comorbidities and drugs prescribed. DDI was assessed using Micromedex software. Results: This study included 200 prescriptions of people aged 60 years and above. A total of 324 DDIs were identified among which, 24 (7.4%)were major and 127 (39.2)were moderate. The antiplatelet and anticoagulant group of drugs were responsible for the majority of DDI, followed by hypertension medications and diabetic medications Conclusions: It can be concluded from this study that the incidence of DDI rises with the rise in the number of medications in the prescriptions and there is an increase in the number of drugs in the prescription with the increase in the number of co-morbidities.

Law of torts and sports litigation

The research paper talks about the relation between the Law of Torts and the Field of Sports and how important it is to establish the Law of torts in the Field of Sports. The research paper portrays the relation between Law of torts and sports litigation. The thesis includes various case laws, research papers,s and references from online articles. The evolution of sports in the country has called for proper implementation of laws for the industry and as the of Law of torts in India is still not properly established it is very hard for the sportsperson to claim for damages in a situation where they suffer injury. The transparency of the federal sports authorities in India has also not been fair and transparent as more and more frauds and scams have been disclosed in recent years. The proper establishment of the Law of torts would help the Indian judiciary as determining cases under the Law of torts would be simpler and finding out who is entitled to a claim for legal damages would also become easier. The research portrays different types of torts, cases of sports under the said torts, and the possible remedies that can be provided to the players. The research paper is on the topic of the Law of Torts and Sports Litigation. Secondary research conducted on the topic reveals that proper implementation of the Law of torts, as well as laws made by the Sports Federation of India, is required.

Kidney stone detection using Machine Learning techniques

In nowadays individuals are experiencing different infections. Kidney infections are one of the significant illnesses among them which are expanding day by day like the development of blisters and stones, contamination, tumor, change in kidney position and appearance and so forth We can't disregard kidney-related issues since kidney breaking down can place life in hazard Consequently, to forestall such sort of kidney anomalies in patients, early recognition and avoidance is required. This paper presents an audit on the discovery and acknowledgment of kidney anomalies. The data can be helpful to distinguish and find the kidney infections in the previous stages to play out the careful activity to fix them effectively. Thus, it has a repetitive application space that incorporates PC supported finding framework which assists with identifying kidney anomalies and give a conclusion of likely infection. In addition, a CT picture has numerous issues like low differentiation, spot commotion, gaussian clamor, and different ancient rarities. In this way, there is a major need for better picture quality than remove related highlights. To conquer this test, suitable picture handling procedures as pre-preparing and order strategies have been portrayed. The examination work presents the outline of the different strategies for the discovery and acknowledgment of kidney irregularities. Besides, the goals of these strategies and their presentation are clarified.

PV-Based MPPT for standalone DC Micro Grids using Fuzzy Logic

Due to the large variations in production and demand, stand-alone green energy management systems are becoming more important for power sharing and voltage regulation tasks. Traditionally used power management methods use maximum energy factor monitoring (MPPT) algorithms and depend on batteries in the event of a power surge or shortage. However, in order to maintain a constant current-constant voltage (IU) charging regime and extend the life of batteries, energy management methods must be more adaptable with regard to power curtailment. The article offers a technique for battery management of a hybrid solar photovoltaic and wind energy device for stand-alone applications. Due to the non-linear nature of battery charging, which is time-varying with a large time delay, it is challenging to obtain the optimum energy management performance using conventional control methods. The article analyses a fuzzy manipulates method for battery charging and discharging in a renewable energy production system. To extend the battery's life, fuzzy control maintains the appropriate level of charge (SOC). A fuzzy logic-based controller is suggested for use in manipulating the battery state of charge of the intended hybrid system, and its performance is validated in contrast to a conventional PI controller.

Minimart a marketplace using dapp on the ethereum blockchain

As the developments in blockchain technology is drastically growing, led to the creation of smart contracts. Smart contracts are code which are stored and self-executed on blockchain. Due to this, it is possible to implement distributed, decentralized applications with their frameworks to be developed and implemented easily. A proof-of-concept system that implements a distributed online marketplace using the Ethereum framework, where buyers and sellers can engage in e-commerce transactions without the need of Intermediary. Performance is usually measured in terms of gas count. It was determined that costs are significantly less than any other online marketplace. Hence, Ethereum is proving much more significant as a distributed on-chain market.
