Temporal changes in reproductive fitness – A case study of fertility and mortality in dhaneshwar saundik of Munger district in Bihar

Temporal changes in Reproductive fitness – A case study of Fertility and Mortality in Dhaneshwar Saundik, the predominant Vaishya population of Munger district, Bihar has been studied in respect of their reproductive adaptability and frequency distribution of certain somatotopic and genetic characters. Reproductive adaptability has been studied on the basis of the parameters of marriage practices like the incidence of marriage, the age of mother at the time of marriage. The certain natural phenomenon like age at menarche (13.49years), age at menopause (49.51 years), sterility (ever and never pregnant), fertility and mortality have been studied. The mean number of children per mother has also been calculated and it has decreased by 2.18 %. In our studies the Infant mortality rate (IMR), adolescent mortality rate (AMR) and net reproductive index (NRI) also shows a declining trend.

Fuzzy logics and soft computing techniques for noise reduction

The aim of noise reduction is to extract the desired signal from its noise-corrupted version, using the proposed neuro-fuzzy system (NFS) as an adaptive filter. Noise reduction is the process of removing noise from a signal. All recording devices, both analog and digital, have traits that make them susceptible to noise. Noise can be random or white noise with no coherence, or coherent noise introduced by the device's mechanism or processing algorithms. Digital images are mostly corrupted by mixed noise from several sources. It is a challenging problem to remove mixed noise in color images. Generally, some image denoising filters can reduce either additive or impulse noise, but it fails to remove both impulsive noise and additive noise.

Machining of aluminum metal matrix composites in wire cut EDM an analysis

The composite materials are widely used in many industries and are very difficult to machine the metal matrix composite by conventional machining methods. Hence unconventional machining techniques are used to machine the materials. Wire Electrical discharge machining (WEDM) gives larger capability for cutting complex shapes with high precision for composite materials. In this present work, the effect of a process parameter of Wire Electrical discharge machinings such as Voltage, Pulse on- time, pulse -off time and current were studied for the reinforced metal matrix composite composites. Aluminum 7075 reinforced with Silicon carbide are fabricated using stir casting process and machining was done in WEDM using the design of experiments approach. The material removal rate for the different set of experiments was studied. The influence of weight fraction of reinforcement on metal removal rate was discussed.
