Managing the under-utilized public open spaces in a neighborhood of TIER-II cities, India

In recent years, utilization of the under-utilized spaces has been seen with increased concentration by urban planners as it is resulting in wastage of a valuable resource, land. Studying under-utilized spaces in a city is complex as it involves dealing with multiple spaces having varied issues associated with it. The paper intends to derive a framework to study these spaces in different Indian cities and identify issues for its under-utilization. The framework is reinforced by the study of neighborhoods in four tier-II cities in India keeping population density and land use as an identical aspect in all the neighborhoods. With ideal solutions to mitigate the issues affecting the community in the vicinity, these spaces can be used to optimum level. This paper is intended to identify the similarities between the issues related to these spaces in different cities and group the issues in domains of administration, maintenance, design or planning due to various reasons for its formation and as per the planning instruments. The paper also aims to come up with ideal generic design approach for issues in design domain and frame guidelines for it to be implemented for benefits to the community in terms of safety, health and economy.

Novel approach for cluster head selection in mobile ad hoc network using NS2

In recent time huge development going on in the field of the wireless sensor network and this network divided into two groups which are known as MANET and VANET. Our main work is to design an algorithm in such a way that the network parameter is optimized efficiently. So the cluster head can’t communicate with other nodes. That the same time, the congestion will occur and packet can’t be transferred to the nodes. It will take more time to complete the packet transmission. This approach illustrates that the proposed method is a routing protocol. The proposed research we have used no of connection in a group or cluster. Every cluster has a cluster head and the cluster head directly interconnects with the improper place. The results of the proposed method are a comparison with existing Leach Protocol. Here the base connection is located to equal distance of a cluster and it’s directly communicating to the cluster connection. This method is increasing to life instance of a network. As compare LEACH and Proposed method, we have noticed proposed method-have better force, lifetime, less delay, better transmission and consumed less time. LEACH Protocol is based on the cluster to make a comparison of native parameters so that we design the proposed method cluster based. The cluster used no of the group to increase the performance. This consist of many advantages which are listed below. Existing Number of groups is low. We can analyze a number of groups here. Every group’s stage check in this proposed research. Proposed method routing protocol has a better result as compared to LEACH protocol. As cluster-head dies, series is rebuilt to bypass the deceased node. So the initial topology is not affected. Head node receives all the aggregated data moreover transmits further to cluster-head.

Novel approach for image watermarking in YCBCR color space using LWT and SVD

Now a day’s with advancement in technology privacy is one of the concern-parameters. There are diverse techniques available to protect our crucial data safe from unauthorized person. Watermarking, cryptographic, steganography are few examples which help us to protect our information. Digital image (DI) authentication under varying transmission and acquisition conditions is very tedious and efficient watermarking is an effective method to rid of this problem. In this research paper, we propose a transform domain approach in YCbCr color space to enhance the performance of a watermarking system, employing the distinguish integration of Discrete Wavelet Transform, Discrete Fourier Transform, and Singular Value Decomposition. DWT stage selectively utilizes the horizontal and vertical detail coefficients of the 2–dimensional DWT of an image. The translation variance problem of the DWT is compensated in the following DFT stage, which also exploits the frequency characteristics of the image. Finally, SVD is used to embed the watermark data. The method gives superior results in terms of enhanced PSNR values and is able to withstand a diverse of image processing attacks for example blur attack and motion attack. In our research work, four types of attacks are used and we can say that image quality is robust against these attacks.

License plate localization method based on vertical edge analysis using SVM technique

There are different types of license plates being used, the requirement of an automatic license plate recognition system is different for each country. Support vector machine is a machine learning algorithm with good performance, its parameters have an important influence on the accuracy of classification, and parameters selection is becoming one of the main research areas of machine learning. This dissertation adopts SVM to recognize the characters of the license plate. Then a number plate recognition algorithm is proposed for character segmentation and recognition. This algorithm employs an SVM to recognize numbers. The algorithm starts with a collection of samples of numbers from number plates. Each character is recognized by an SVM, which is trained by some known samples in advance. In order to recognize a number plate correctly, all numbers are tested one by one using the trained model. Our experimental results depict that our proposed technique has a great extent of recognition accuracy and excessive processing speed as compared to traditional SVM which depended upon the multi-class classifier. This new technique gives a superior direction for automatic number plate recognition. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm has higher recognition accuracy than others, the character recognition accuracy of the training set is greater than 99.95%, and character recognition accuracy of test set reaches 99 %. Therefore we can conclude SVM is a better technique than any other supervised learning.

Security and energy saving aspects of wireless sensor networks in healthcare sector

In HealthCare use of WSN: Wireless Sensor Networks in healthcare applications are growing in a past few years. And several applications used to monitor like heart rate, blood pressure, sound, temperature, and memory enhancement and etc., And Address the growing use of sensor technology in healthcare field a new invention known as wireless body area networks WBAN simply called as the BAN. In naturally the wireless sensor has security and privacy issues are among major issues and due to direct activity of people also increases the sensitivity. Whether the data collected from patients or etc obtained with the consent of the person or without it due to the need by the system, misuse or privacy issues may restrict people from taking advantage of the full benefits from the system. People may not see these devices safe for regular use. And there is a possibility of serious social unrest due to the panic that such devices may be used for monitoring and tracking individuals by the government and their agencies or other private sector organizations. In this paper, we discuss security issues and analyze in detail the problems and their possible measures and energy saving aspects.

A review paper on broadband connectivity in rural India through TV white space

In India, there has been an immense growth in the number of telephone and broadband subscribers in the last few years. In next-generation wireless technology that converged voice and data applications will offer rural broadband connectivity for proper boost in Information and Communication Technology(ICT) to take part in all the areas of human life such as education, health, science, financial markets, security and civil protection, media, entertainment, and business development etc. Unused spectrum in the television band (so-called TV white space) has the potential to provide a new spectrum for accessing information and communication services in developing countries. “White spaces” in the UHF (Ultra High Frequency) bands that have traditionally been used for television broadcasting but the opening of TV white space (TVWS) bands for cognitive access is one of the first tangible steps to solve the problem of Spectrum scarcity in current wireless networks. One of the major hindrance to providing broadband connectivity in a semi-urban area and rural India is the lack of robust and affordable backhaul. Fiber connectivity in the terms of backhaul is being planned or provided by Government of India would reach only till rural offices named as Gram Panchayat in the Indian rural areas. In this elucidation, I articulate how TV white space can address the challenge of providing broadband connectivity to a billion plus population within India. As villages can form their local Wi-Fi clusters. The problem of connecting the Wi-Fi clusters to the optical fiber points can be addressed using a TV white space-based backhaul (middle-mile) network. I also try to cover the TV White Space technology, the pertinent standards to the TVWS system, the regulatory framework and other relevant points. In the target riverine country like India, TVWS wireless connectivity model can play a vital role to develop rural community. In this paper, my objectives are to Explore, assess and propose TV white space implementation of rural broadband in India to make Digital India.
