Prominence of Sandalwood (white and red) handicraft in the interiors with respect to aromatherapy

India being the hub for divine wooden handicrafts due to the rare plant species grown here like Santalum album (Sandalwood) and Pterocarpus santalinus (Red sanders) which come under tropical trees are the most valuable and sacred trees associated with the culture, tradition and medicine; Sandalwood’s treasured aroma is extracted from tree’s heartwood and also it is one of the finest natural materials for carving. Since ancient times the traditional way to extract the sandalwood paste is with the help of sacred rubbing stone and sandalwood smoke is by burning the incense sticks in sacred metal or mud burners for medicine and traditional rituals. Taking the concept from the traditional process of extracting; some of interior elements shall be created to spread the aroma of Santalum album into the interiors from the passages of traditional Jharokhas(stone oriel window) and Mashrabiya(wooden oriel window) on the other side creating interior elements like 3d layered wall murals, side brackets, wall brackets, carved pelmets, etc. with Pterocarpus santalinus. As it is the most costly wood, 3d layered wall murals are designed with ombre effect instead of solid wall murals by using less material for a larger space which makes it cost effective and gives an insight for sustainability and these most exquisite sandalwood carvings are made by skilled craftsman cast in situ to prevent damage due to transport.

Prediction of a mammogram mass as benign or malignant

This paper is about comparing several different supervised machine learning techniques to the “mammographic masses” public data set from the UCI repository, and see which one yields the highest accuracy as measured with K-Fold cross validation (K=10 A lot of needless pain and surgery occurs from the subsequent false positives of mammogram performance. If we can create a better way of understanding them through supervised machine learning, it will make many lives easier .We have applied Decision tree, Random forest, KNN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Logistic Regression and also neural network using Keras. The data was cleaned as many rows were contain missing data, and as there were erroneous data identifiable as outliers as well. Some techniques such as SVM that we have employed requires the input data to be normalized first. Many techniques also had "hyperparameters" that had to be tuned. So here we have approached a better way to make it even better by tuning its hyperparameters.

The treatment of the theme in the novels of Bharati Mukherjee

The present study and honest attempt to examine how in her novel as well as sort stories. Bharati Mukherjee has made a concerted effort to present the true image of immigrants of in the USA as well as Canada. She has shown convincingly through the portrayal of sensitive protagonist that all of them have to grapple with various prejudices of racism, sexism and various kind of exploitation and discrimination of the new countries.

Analysis of geogrid reinforced pond ash embankment using finite element method

The Pond Ash sample was collected from the ash pond site of Raj ghat thermal power station, Delhi, soil was collected from NIT campus, Srinagar and the lime was procured from the open market in the form of quick lime. This lime was then mixed with pond ash, by weight (= 9%) (Gupta et al, 2013).Further, in the present work an experimental program was carried out to characterize the materials and strength tests were performed to study the behaviour of pond ash mixed with lime; the results shows that in the presence of moisture, pond ash chemically reacts with lime at ordinary temperature and forms cementations material which is attributed to the increase in strength of pond ash. Numerical analysis was performed using the FEM based software PHASE2 (Roc science). Results divulge that use of full length of geogrid covering whole width of embankment increases the critical strength reduction factor (SRF) of embankment at steeper slope inclination. Also, the application of either geogrids layers or pond ash-lime mix layer, results in safer designs in comparison to unreinforced pond ash embankment.

Analysis of variation of hardness in TIG welded stainless steel alloy

AISI 304 SS (stainless steel) has similar mechanical property as compare to AISI 304 SS grade, but its ability to resist corrosion is somewhat less as compare to AISI 304 SS grade in chloride environment. But it is very inexpensive so we can use it in indoor applications like indoor fabrication, automobile trim and application where atmosphere is not a considerable factor. But there is very less research reported on welding of AISI 304 SS grade. In order to find out the weakest locations of the joints and determine the optimum MIG welding parameters, this present work aims to demonstrate its MIG weldability and the emphasis is placed on the relations of the tensile properties and hardness to the welding parameters

Review on MIG welded stainless steel alloy

MIG welding Arc voltage control, the energy source is given and the wire-feed unit delivers speed control of the welding wire, in MIG it is equivalent to the welding process. Many traditional wire feed systems control the wire feed speed through the thyristor control PCB and the DC motor to offer control of the Armature volts and therefore the RPM of the engine. The wire feed motor spindle is equipped with a feed roller and then additional pressure roller, the variable spring is placed to gently catch the wire and force it up to a MIG torch length
