A study of the three important ambient factors; color, lighting, and noise on employees in open-plan bank offices

In the ever-competitive world today, offices want to get the maximum work output and productivity from their employees that allow them to perceive their ambiances in a way that gets reflected in the work they produce. This in turn helps in solving and figuring out the architectural areas that can be made different or altered to enhance the quality of workspaces in which they thrive. This paper uses four main works of literature and already established models of Bitner, Vietch and Newsham, Sundstrom and Evans, and John's stress and noise theory; considering the factors that have been regarded and hence helped derive the basic parameters to be studied, observed, and taken employee perceptions of. These have then been analyzed and developed into design guidelines in order to change work environments.

A novel approach to secure video steganography

The rapid development of data communication in the modern era demands a secure exchange of information. Steganography is the technique of data hiding. Thus, video steganography means hiding data inside a video file. Existing systems work on the LSB technique and has a defined format in which data is stored and can be easily guessed by the intruder. The proposed method is based on the Pixel Value Extraction of RGB model which uses Bit insertion technique to insert the text within the Video file. Usually, the hackers focus on LSB bits for secret data extraction but the proposed technique utilizes the MSB bits that make it more secure from unauthorized access. This system focuses on the data security approach when combined with encryption and steganographic techniques for secret communication by hiding it inside the video.

Determinants of underpricing of IPO – A case study of Indian stock market

The study aims to investigate the reasons for underpricing of IPO by analyzing the impact of various factors like Issue Size, Stockholder Ownership Structure, and Underwriter Reputation on the Under-pricing of IPOs. The target market chosen was all the IPOs issued In the Indian Stock Market from the Year 2010 to 2019 i.e., 219 Companies, which included 88 Underpriced IPOs and 131 Overpriced IPOs. Initially, exploratory research was undertaken to probe deeper into the topic. After conducting the exploring research, causal research was finalized as the most suitable method to go ahead with. We analyzed the data using tools like Correlation and Regression on various software i.e., Excel and SAS (Enterprise Guide). We concluded the Research by stating a Negligible Positive Relationship of Under-pricing of IPO with Issue Size and a Strong Positive Relationship with QIB and HNI Ownership and a negative Relationship with Retail Investors and Reputation of Underwriters.

My home place is a small village in Tamil Nadu State, Coimbatore District, and Pollachi Taluk. The local administration of the Kanjampatti Panchayat Board contains four villages, namely, Kanjampatti, K.Nagoor, Ammegoundanur, and Nambiamuthur. There were no bank facilities until 1987. I wrote to the then Prime Minister of India and the Honorable Prime Minister ordered to open a bank branch directing the Reserve Bank of India at Kanjampatti. The bank is serving the mass of the surrounding area very well. When the bank was opened in 1987, he accompanied the bank manager to going door to door and canvassed for the SB account and also creating awareness about savings for them

A preliminary survey of the aquatic and terrestrial bird fauna of Ghunghutta dam area, Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, India

The survey of Avian fauna around Ghunghutta dam Ambilkapur was conducted from Jun 2018 to November 2019. Three different habitats were selected for bird watching. Direct counting method and visual counting method used for data collection. During this survey 61 birds were species listed, 38 were terrestrial and 23 were aquatic. It was observed the family Passeriformes was dominant with 28 species and Pelecaniformes was the second dominant group with 07 species. Black-hooded Oriolus riolusxanthornus), Tricoloured munia, (Lonchuramalacca), Wolly necked stork (Ciconia episcopus), Glossy ibis (Plegadisfalcinellus), Red-naped ibis (Pseudibispapillosa ), Red-wattled lapwing (Vanellus indicus ), and Common kingfisher (Acedoattithis) were rare in the study area.

A technical paper on RCC blanket wall

In the hilly and mountainous terrain, many types of structural methods are used to withstand high earth pressure and also prevent soil erosion and hold the earth surface intact. The generally used techniques include building retaining walls, soil nailing, reinforced earth retaining wall (RERW), etc. These types of construction methods not only consume a high quantity of steel and concrete but also increase labor and time of construction. This technical paper on “Blanket wall” for the ‘safe Protection’ of the cut & exposed/Natural surfaces of the hilly terrains will provide an alternative innovative method of construction which will reduce the cost of construction, save time and resources without compromising on the quality, safety and intent of construction. This particular article exemplifies one of the NMDC mining projects at Bailadila, Chhattisgarh. In the course of this study, a lot of innovative engineering ideas and thoughts have studied before arriving at the general layout and its technological requirements. The following factors are considered while planning and designing Blanket Wall: Space, constraints, type of terrain, soil conditions, area are subjected to heavy rainfall, thick fog considerations, transportation of heavy machinery & equipment, Time factors with respect to project schedule achieving the cost economy & various related aspects.
