Smart system for student placement prediction

Its goal is to develop college-level forecasting automation, predict the chances of students being placed in information technology companies, and help screen candidates before the hiring process begins. lt involves using machine learning algorithms as a basic model to classify students into appropriate groups, so the results will help them improve their skills and other ways of thinking. The same results are also compared with the results obtained from other models such as logistic regression, random forest, and SVM to obtain the optimal and so on. Placements are considered to be very important for each and every college. The main objective of this model is to predict whether the student gets placed or not in campus recruitment. A high placement rate is a key entity for any educational institution. Hence such a system has a significant place in the educational system of any learning institution.

Review on chalcone (preparation, synthesis of pirazolines ring and biological screening based on chalcones and derivation into pirazolines)

Pyrazolines are well-known and important nitrogen-containing 5-membered heterocyclic compounds. Pyrazolines are known to exhibit different biological and pharmacological properties such as anticancer, antibacterial, antifungal, and ant tubercular activities. Chalcones with an enone group between two aromatic rings exhibit remarkable pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antitumor, antifungal activity.

Teacher’s learning on ICT platforms during Pandemic: Relevance for teacher education with special focus on Zoom, YouTube

There is a rise in the importance of teacher’s learning on ICT platforms during times of pandemics. However, there are some important issues to be addressed to make this learning more progress-oriented. In this context, the focus should be on the technical awareness of teachers, the usefulness of the ICT platforms, and the methodology adopted to put the platform to appropriate and productive use. The paper focuses on the relevance of ICT platforms for Teacher Education with a special mention of Zoom and YouTube.

Planning and designing of G+1 structure of the residential building

The primary objective of this project is to gain sufficient knowledge in the planning and design of buildings. Our project deals with the planning and design of a residential building. Planning of structure was done in Auto cadd software and design of structural components like slab, beam, column, footing, staircase, etc was done by Stadd Pro software. It is a reinforced concrete framed structure consisting of G+1.IS 456:2000 codes are the basic code for general construction in concrete structures, hence all the structural members are designed using the limit state method in accordance with the IS 456:2000 code and design aids. With the help of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD we successfully found the estimated area of Plot area = 193.97sq.m, Ground floor area = 105.02 sq.m, First floor area = 105.02 sq.m,F.S.I Permitted = 1.0 .

Face recognition based attendance monitoring system

This project is to construct a face recognition-based attendance monitoring system for various educational institutions for taking attendance of students accurately. Previously attendance was taken manually where the professor/ teacher used to record attendance of students in log registers. This process is time-consuming and hectic. The professor/teacher might miss marking the attendance for few students or an illegal third party might manipulate the log register. The accuracy and security were at stake always. Then there was a new attendance system using fingerprints. This system might be accurate but there is a chance of stealing fingerprints from the biometric device for malicious activities. In this project, we use the face which is the most important part of our body. The facial features of individuals are recognized and analyzed for taking attendance. In this project, we use one of the most popular programming languages Python, and its library called OpenCV which is used to capture live images and videos. The face images and details like registration number and name of the student will be saved in files and attendance notes can be seen in Excel Spreadsheet. The image detection and processing are done using the LBPH algorithm which is known for its simple yet efficient performance.

Impact of COVID-19 Lockdown on Air Pollution and Air Quality Index (AQI) in India

From the start of industrialization, air pollution in India and around the globe started increasing with new pollutants coming into existence. The extent of air pollution has also increased in the last few decades, very rapidly affecting human health and the earth's ecosystem badly. During pandemics like it happened in other countries, the same way, in India also government-imposed lockdown that resulted in the termination of all economic activities. The pandemic and imposed lockdown provided improved air quality as a gift to mankind. This duration also shows insight into the relationship between the economy and good air quality. We also get some insight into how to improve air quality without affecting the basic needs of society. This paper aims to examine the variation of the concentration of 5 main contaminants (PM2.5, PM10, NO2, CO and Ozone) before and after the lockdown imposed in 5 major Indian cities. After reading this paper, we get an insight into to what extent we can reduce air pollution by imposing lockdown and how the socio-economic, geographical variance across cities decides the extent of reduction in air pollution. We also get direction for future management strategies and policies to regain economic strength with sustainable improvements. So at the moment, we have to focus on both air pollution management and economic recovery. This study provides insight into the air quality index across the geographical variation of India.
