The fundamentals of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)

neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a new field, concerned with people’s patterns of behavior and communication. Patterns include not only observable actions in the world but also the thinking processes and the organization of people’s states of mind as well as their emotions and how all senses are used to reach a point of attention or concentration. Many applications of NLP have been created as a result of its focus on constructing models of human excellence. Furthermore, NLP's global diffusion has been well documented, with corporate executives and consultants turning to the creative and inventive components of NLP for inspiration in organizational growth, total quality management, team building, and strategic planning. However, while there is a substantial body of knowledge about NLP in the Western Hemisphere, nothing is known about it in the Arab world. The purpose of this paper is twofold: to assess NLP patterns and behaviors as practiced by a sample of UAE employees and managers in order to shed light on current workplace practices in the UAE, and to assess the impact of NLP on respondents' behavior and its implications for the organization's objectives. As a result, a survey questionnaire is used to do a quantitative analysis. The sample population consists of employees and managers from various industries and work situations. The research's findings are expected to describe the workplace environment by identifying the dynamics of UAE employees and managers who are thought to play a vital part in the organization's health evaluation.

Awareness and perception of diet and nutrition in individuals with Diabetes Mellitus

Dietary knowledge and awareness in individuals with diabetes is an important aspect of diabetes management. Several studies have evaluated the awareness of diabetes among the diabetic population. However, limited studies have focused on the relation between nutrition awareness and dietary intake in Indian individuals with diabetes. The present study assessed the awareness and perception regarding the importance of nutrition in individuals with diabetes. It aimed at identifying the knowledge gaps by evaluating the relationship between nutritional awareness and dietary self-care behavior in Indian subjects with diabetes. The study design comprised a cross-sectional survey to assess the awareness about nutrition and nutrient intake in the diabetic population across India. A total of 1000 adults with diabetes were administered a diet recall using Nutri-Calculator, an app-based nutrient calculator, and a structured questionnaire. The nutrient calculator recorded food intake in a 24-hr recall and analyzed nutrient intake in comparison with the respective RDAs (Recommended Dietary Allowances). The nutrient intake report was generated at the end, that mentioned the current intake against the RDA for each survey respondent. The questionnaire evaluated the awareness and perception of the subjects regarding the foods and nutrients that are important in diabetes. The survey was conducted using computer-aided telephonic interview (CATI) methodology and each survey was screened for quality checks after completion. After the survey analysis, it was observed that the majority (95%) of the respondents were aware of the importance of protein intake in diabetes. Nearly, 86.5% assumed that they had an adequate intake of proteins; however, the nutrient intake analysis revealed only 14.8% of respondents were meeting their daily protein requirements. Out of the total respondents, it was observed that 92% of the respondents were aware of the importance of fiber intake in diabetes. Nearly, 81.4% assumed that they had adequate intake of fiber; however, the nutrient intake analysis revealed that only 21.2% of the respondents were consuming a diet adequate in fiber. Furthermore, it was found that the majority of the respondents did not meet the RDAs for micronutrients. Additionally, the study also revealed that dietary deficiency of macronutrients, namely fiber, and protein, resulted in greater hunger pangs in these individuals. In conclusion, the study revealed that the respondents were aware of the importance of protein and fiber in their diet; however, the majority of the respondents consumed a diet deficient in these nutrients as well as micronutrients. This dietary deficiency could have led to an increased frequency of hunger pangs in these individuals. Furthermore, most of the respondents were unaware that a low glycemic index diet is beneficial in the management of diabetes. The study highlighted the need for an effective diet and lifestyle counseling for the management of diabetes.

The relationship between customers’ monthly income and perception towards e-banking

This descriptive study aimed to measure customers' perceptions towards e-banking services provided by Yemeni banks and to find out whether the customers' monthly income is related to their perception of the service. The sample included 189 respondents. Data was collected online using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The statistical tests applied for data analysis were frequency descriptive analysis, one way ANOVA and Pearson correlation. The study revealed that the perception of Yemeni customers towards E-banking is high, there is no difference in perception towards e-banking services among users who have different monthly income and there is no relationship between monthly income and customers' perception towards e-banking services.

Religious influences on holistic/analytical thinking and rates of mental illness

Differences in thinking styles, particularly holistic versus analytical between Eastern and Western cultures, might be the reason behind different rates of mental illness between the two. In my paper, I explore the potential determinants of these divergent thinking styles, specifically focusing on religion. Through literature review, I make the case that Buddhist and Christian beliefs are associated with holistic and analytical thinking styles, respectively, and ultimately lead to varying rates of mental illness between the two cultures.

Reliability and validation of the tools used for sitting balance in neurological conditions

A balance disorder is a condition that makes you feel unsteady on your feet and dizzy. Dizziness is a general term for different symptoms of imbalance. Balance tests are a group of tests that check for balance disorders. Trunk control in NMD is impaired by progressive muscle weakness which is exacerbated by resulting inactivity. Given that the TCT has a good correlation with Balance is a complex motor skill that depends on interactions between multiple sensorimotor processes and environmental and functional contexts. This is a methodological research design this study is a correlation study design, which intends correlate the sitting balance and walking within the sample. All the subject performed trunk control test and follow the sitting balance scale and the results were observed for correlation with pre-specified functional activities performed by the subjects.Trunk control in NMD is impaired by progressive muscle weakness which is exacerbated by resulting inactivity. The most important finding of our study, in which we draw attention to the assessment of trunk control in NMD, is the fact that the TCT is a reliable and valid test which can yield results related to a patient’s functional level and guide clinicians during the clinical intervention period. The tools which we have used for the study is now validated and reliable.

A Critical Review and Analysis of a wearable sensor-based activity prediction system to facilitate edge computing in the smart healthcare system

With the increase in IoT’s influence in healthcare systems, handling big data is a very tedious way and still a big challenge to handle big data obtained through the cloud IoT systems. That is why this paper has put forward Edge-of-Things(EoT)computing. The proposed system focuses on processing sensor data and activity prediction on devices such as laptops, GPU in a smart home. The proposed system put forward will be meticulously analyzed bringing out its advantages and disadvantages in the same domain and will be put out.
