A survey of the prosthetic status and post-treatment satisfaction of patients among Kashmiri population visiting Government Dental College and Hospital Srinagar

The objective of this survey was to assess the prosthetic status of patients visiting the Department of Prosthodontics of Government Dental College and Hospital Srinagar Kashmir, which was followed by the assessment of patient satisfaction 4 months after treatment. Furthermore, the influence of the patient's gender, their mental attitude, and the type of prosthesis given on patient satisfaction were evaluated. A short interview was carried out with the selected patients to collect preliminary data. The socioeconomic status was recorded, following which an intra-oral examination was carried out to assess the prosthetic status and the type of prosthesis required by the patient. Patients were then given a questionnaire before the commencement of treatment to assess their mental attitude. The treatment decided on was completed for each patient. Patients' satisfaction with the treatment was assessed after four months using a questionnaire. Subsequent to the collection of data from the questionnaires, statistical analysis using the Chi-square test at a significance level of P<0.05 was done to evaluate the relationship between age, personality, mental attitude, and prosthetic treatment needs. Patient satisfaction was also assessed. Statistically significant results were obtained on correlating the age and the treatment required, patients' mental attitude and the various treatment options. The relationship between the patients' gender, socioeconomic status, and mental attitude with their satisfaction was found to be noteworthy. The highest prosthetic treatment need was for complete dentures in both genders. Higher satisfaction levels were noted in individuals belonging to higher socioeconomic status and in males.

GeoFencing: Location based services

The geofence has come out to be the application which helps in the protection of the machine and the jobs that need to be carried out both inside the fence or backyard the fence. This surely helps the employer to hold music of the gadget and the jobs that are being carried out from the devices, which increases the effectivity in the experience that the system is utilized in a suitable manner. One of the features of the product is Fencing where all the units will be given sure jobs which can only be performed when interior the fence and some jobs which will be active only backyard the fence. These points were already present in the Android Application side, now it needs to be applied in the Linux side. The approach that we have used is the geofencing API in the android side, however getting the geolocation of the laptop alongside with the latitude and longitude differs with the precise location. Therefore, we are going to use location-based offerings in order to get a specific area of the device

Analysis of dynamic pricing in airlines and predicting least fare

Airline companies have been using dynamic pricing to vary the ticket prices to maximize the profit for a limited number of seats. Though the algorithm is different for all the airlines and never disclosed, it is possible to predict the variation in ticket prices. There have been studies in the past for the same, none explicitly for the Indian market; considering the major holidays. Applying techniques from Machine learning model of neural networks and backpropagation, we could predict the upcoming surge or dip in the ticket prices. We aim at predicting if the price of the ticket will go down in the future or the current price is the lowest.

Environment risk factor influencing Scrub Typhus in Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh)

Scrub typhus is an acute febrile widespread disease in Asia & Pacific islands which causes unspecific symptoms & signs. This is one of the biggest diseases in our country especially in the terai region and South India for many years. Scrub typhus, a dreaded disease in the pre-antibiotic era, is an important military disease which caused thousands of cases in the Far East during World War. It is a zoonosis and is a widespread disease in Asia and the Pacific Islands. Scrub typhus is an acute febrile illness which generally causes non-specific symptoms and signs. The clinical manifestations of this disease. Deaths are attributable to late presentation, delayed diagnosis, and drug resistance. The public health importance of this disease is underestimated because of difficulties with a clinical diagnosis and lack of laboratory methods in many geographical areas. Scrub typhus is known to occur all over India and physicians should be aware of this potentially serious but easily treatable disease. The aforesaid environmental factors affect the incidence and cause of Scrub typhus drastically as there is a high need to control this disease. So, a survey was conducted regarding this aspect.

Experimental investigation on geopolymer concrete subjected to elevated temperature

Geopolymer concrete can be expressed as "concrete without cement". Geopolymer concrete is environmentally friendly and an inventive way to replace the conservative concrete which contributes 7-8% of total CO2 production in the world. “The concrete which entails of the source materials and the alkaline solution”. The source material can be from agricultural wastes such as Bagasse ash, Rice husk ash, Palm fuel ash, etc and the industrial by-products such as Fly ash, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, Copper Slag, etc. The alkaline solutions can be either sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate or potassium hydroxide and potassium silicate. In the present study, an effort has been made to check the likelihood of reuse of bagasse ash in Geopolymer Concrete by probing mechanical properties of M30 grade concrete for 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent replacement by bagasse ash. The behavior of 100% GGBS replaced concrete under elevated temperature by weight loss, residual strength, cracking pattern and spalling pattern.
