Smart waste management using IoT

Many times in the current situation we see that the trash cans or Dustbins are put in the public squares of the city that are overflowing every day due to a rise in the waste. It produces unhygienic conditions for people and produces an unpleasant smell in the local environment, which leads to the spread of certain deadly diseases and human disease. With a rapid growth in population, sanitation problems with regard to waste management are tremendously deteriorating. With rapid population growth, sanitation-related problems with regard to garbage management are extremely degrading. “Smart Waste Management using IoT" is the latest, evolving solution to avoid this problem. Public dustbins will be supported in the proposed system with embedded devices that helps to track the amount of garbage in the garbage bins in real time. Analysing the constant data collected would help municipal and government authorities develop smart waste management strategies with the help of reports produced by various systems.

BIM-understanding, its drivers and challenges in the Indian Construction Industry

With the rapid rise in AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operation & Maintenance) industry, there was a need to reinvent the conventional construction practice and project delivery system. The digitization of data resulted in the formation of Building Information and Modelling (BIM) which revolutionized the AEC industry. BIM offers the integrated ability of properties, materials, life-cycle and other data with added facilities of interoperability, facility management, construction management, risk management and leadership in energy and environmental design. Since 2000 BIM is considered to be a major breakthrough in the construction industries which not only delivers the projects but also tackles the operation and maintenance of the delivered project. BIM provides the 7D environment i.e. (x.y, z) axis, time, cost, sustainability and facility management, further research is being going on to achieve nD environment.This research aims at the growth drivers and the challenges faced for adoption of BIM in Indian construction projects through questionnaire survey for different user and discuss the risk, challenges,reason and interest in adoption of BIM for Indian Construction Industry.The discoveries and proposals of this research could be utilized by organizations to help survey their current BIM appropriation and distinguish if and how BIM ought to be embraced.

Self healing of concrete using bacteria

The present investigation is to obtain performance of concrete by the microbiologically induced special growth. Researchers with different bacteria proposed different concrete. Here an attempt was made by using the bacteria bacillus subtilis. This study showed a significant increase in the compressive strength due to the addition of bacteria. In self healing property is sucessfully achieved due to addition of bacteria.

Self power generating electric bike

Now day’s bike or vehicle is very important our fast life for travelling and this is also play very important role in growth of economy but main drawback of this bike and vehicle is produce pollution in environment because of burning fuel. For this reason increases global warming and also storage of fuel is limited. Due to that now day’s need of eco-friendly technology for travelling .e-bike (electrical bicycle) this is nothing but one example of eco-friendly technology but this technology having some drawback to overcome the drawback of e-bike we have been design self-power generating electrical bike. This design overcomes all the drawback of e bike. Self-power generating electrical bike is nothing but e-bike that generate its own power supply by using some arrangement.

Design and analysis of single wheel hover-board

The ‘Single Wheel Hover-board’ is a personal electric vehicle running on a single wheel. The vehicle is powered by a battery source. The motor (DC 24V, 250W, High Torque) is in skew with the shaft of the wheel with the help of a chain drive, whose speed will be controlled by a custom-designed ‘Speed control’ circuit, capable for currents about 50A. The control of the motor direction is the posture of the persons driving it. Intelligent sensors like IMU, which houses accelerometer and gyroscope is used to monitor the posture of the person, and accordingly the processor signals the speed controller circuit. Additional features for the Hover-board includes the regenerative braking, inbuilt battery charging capability, battery level indicator.

Basic design parameters for an intersection and design criteria for the unsignalised intersection at IET Crossing, Lucknow

Safety on road is nowadays one of the most important issues. As compared to other locations on the roads the higher traffic crashes are observed on the intersections. Keeping in mind the traffic situation in cities, the types of intersections and type of traffic, this design considers various basic design parameters,conflicts point, intersection design and safety are chosen. The site for design of intersection on National Highway near IET, Lucknow at crossing of NH28 Ayodhya Road to NH24 Sitapur Road and Jankipuram to Aliganj Road. The basis for design is manual counting of traffic volume at the site for peak hours of seven days On each road and the maximum value among these is used for designing the intersection. By using the data and IRC guidelines the type of intersection and other parameters are calculated.
