Branding Women as Pseudo- Feminists: Taking Away Women’s Rights to be Angry Against Injustice

As per Merriam-Webster (2021), Feminism can be defined as the advocacy of and belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes expressed on behalf of women's rights and interests. One of the popular terms that are being increasingly used to describe modern feminists is 'pseudo-feminist. This paper reflects on the origin and meaning of the term pseudo-feminism to ascertain whether the use of such a term takes away women's right to be angry against injustice. Through careful consideration of the injustices encountered by women historically and different approaches to feminism, the paper establishes that the use of terms like pseudo-feminism undermines feminist causes and unfairly demands women to be not angry with the gender who have since time immemorial spewed injustice against them.

Role of Information Technology in mass customization of the manufacturing process

The current manufacturing sector is defined by rapid globalization, arbitrary and heterogeneous markets, and a high rate of products customization. Considering the factor of mass customization, the review paper explores the impact of information technology (IT) in tailor-making electronic goods as per customer demands in India. The paper efficiently extrapolates the benefits of Mass Customization (MC) in a manufacturing sector and later measures its intensity when IT (Industry 3.0 application and then Industry 4.0) is applied in unison with it. Supply chain management is an important phase of manufacturing products that can be made proficient in MC by introducing IT applications like Customer Relationship Management and Enterprise Resource Planning. Through the use of IT, supply chain planning and supply chain integration can significantly enhance the supply chain of business in saving cost, resources, and can initiate better management between coordinators along with facilitating the systematic flow of information at every stage. Besides, substantiating the benefits and ways in which MC can adequately cope with individual demands, the review also dispenses information about the common challenges faced by the company in abiding MC mechanism. The main findings and discussion will evidently state the use of IT in MC manufacturing processes of consumer electronic products. The review also discusses the state-of-the-art technologies currently used for MC. Industry 4.0 applications are widely used to seek better outcomes of customization. IT with industry 4.0 applications like Big Data, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing can help in further broadening the scope of MC manufacturing.

Lane detection and object detection system steering advisory for driver

Lane detection and tracking modules are now regarded as essential in the development of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Different vision-based algorithms that are being used in autonomous vehicles to determine road lanes are presented, reviewed, and compared in this proposed work. The main components are lane departure, lane tracking, collision avoidance, driver assistance system. Lane departure component assists in keeping the vehicle stable on the desired lane on the road. The front collision avoidance component will detect the road's frontal obstruction and shows up a pre-collision/proximity warning signal. The notice is based on the vehicle's speed and the object's distance from the cars. According to current research, the system can only identify one lane marking set in real-time and is unable to provide extra lanes for assistance in scenarios such as lane closures, road repairs, and car accidents that impede the driving lane. The project proposes a method for determining the marking of two lanes that might be used in conjunction with a detecting system to detect obstructions on the road ahead of the vehicle. This method takes a strong approach to lane detection and performs admirably in a variety of lane types.

Car parking space detection using Image Processing

The major goal of the project is to develop a fully automated parking system that requires little human interaction. Look for a suitable parking area for automobiles in the well-known metropolitan metropolis. These parking lots are necessary to solve the challenges of rising urban congestion and, as a result, a scarcity of space. The goal of this article is to determine the number of automobiles and the location where they can be found. This study uses terminology like parking space, image processing, system initialization, image acquisition, image segmentation, image enhancement, and image detection.

Effect of rebar coating in prevention of corrosion in RC structure

Corrosion of the reinforcement in concrete structures had been realized to be at serious problem world wide in the 60s & 70s & the number of damages still increased considerably in the 80s. Corrosion in steel reinforcement is one of the most significant factors in the deterioration of Reinforced Concrete Structures Rebars Corrosion carbonation of Concrete & Chloride Attack Affects almost 50% The Durability of concrete structures. Earlier studies Indicated the Reinforced Concrete structures Remain durable for the whole of their design life, Approximately more than 60 years, Even maintenance free. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the relative merits of the two coating systems for reinforcing bars in concrete. Also this study helps to know the nature and characteristics of both epoxy coated and Zinc Coated Steel for use as reinforcement in concrete. Also presented is an overview of the results from recent experimental work on the comparative corrosion behavior of uncoated Steel, epoxy coated steel, and Zinc Coated Steel in concrete.

Segmentation approach for brain tumor detection

The task of detecting tumors is an important one as it can lead to many lives being saved as nearly 20k lives are lost every year due to brain tumors. The task is challenging as in few cases brain tumors are not detected in the early stages. With the help of artificial intelligence, this gap can be bridged. The task of detecting regions of tumors can be classified into the popular computer vision task of image segmentation. Given the actual MRI scans and the masks representing the region of the tumor, the machine learning models can learn the functions which map the regions to the presence or nonpresence of the tumor. The models are trained using a pair of MRI images and corresponding masks and the given an MRI image, the model should detect the region of the tumor if present. This paper explores the different state-of-the-art architectures to perform the task of image segmentation.
