A comparative study of the usefulness of ICT in open and distance learning and conventional mode of the education system

Open and Distance Education is considered a significant medium for sustainable development in the information age of advanced learning. Assam, which is considered as the case study for this article, is facing the challenges of knowledge and information upgrading. In order to meet the demand of globalization for sustainable development, the government established the IGNOU by an act of Parliament at the National level. This article explores the implementation of ICT to the development of distance education. There is a need for the development model of education that provides for quality education and offers the possibility of sustainable development to learners and society as a whole.

Artificial Intelligence in human resource recruitment

The world is filled with technical advancement. In recent years, Artificial Intelligence has been a core component of every field ranging from medical, education, and whatnot. This paper is all about how AI can be used in the recruitment process. When someone is in need of a job, the interview is something that he/she has to go through. There is a different process of interview. Every company opts for different methods. But the common person and the common step in every interview process are the Human resource person and the personal interview step. HR is someone who plays a vital role in a company. Finding the right man for the right position is essential. And that’s a very tedious part too. Although there have been many technological developments in the world, the interview scheduling process is something the same that has been followed for ages. So, we thought of bringing a change in the process. How about AI substitutes labor in the interview process? It is sure that it is not possible completely. But still, it can be adopted in certain areas like application screening and in some more places. In this paper, we have told the possible areas of adopting Artificial intelligence so that the labor and time of HR are cut short and it can be utilized in some more productive areas.

Simulation and analysis of Grid-connected PV System

Now in recent years, the demand for electricity increased day by day. So we need to produce more and more energy to produce electricity. Conventional energy sources like diesel, petrol, gas are finished day by day. So the requirement for nonconventional energy sources is increased. Nonconventional energy sources like wind, solar, hydro, etc. are available from nature. In this paper, we discussed producing electricity from solar energy. This solar energy is related to a grid-connected system and produces electricity based on the photovoltaic system. Matlab simulation of grid-connected PV simulation is also given and produces appropriate results according to requirement. This produce electricity is used for domestic and industrial loads.

Secure result processing system amid COVID-19 and beyond using digital signature

Digital workflow of results from the department where results are generated, to the processing unit, and finally to the students or any other units where results are needed is highly recommended more especially in this era of technological revolution and COVID-19 epidemics. Besides, a couple of drawbacks is usually associated with paper-based result processing. These drawbacks included but were not limited to high overhead cost, high fraud risk, document misplacement, degradation of the document after multiple printing, and delay in result processing. However, online result processing cannot be exonerated from fraud such as cyber-related fraud. Cybercrimes are increasing on daily basis with more concern in developing countries and as such, every online business or transaction should be defended against malicious attacks and unnecessary alterations. Considering the critical and confidential nature of results vis-à-vis the menace associated with cybercrime, this paper suggests the application of digital signature in online result processing to ensure the authentication of the sender, integrity of data, and non-repudiation. The use of the digital signature technique as a security measure in online result processing will promote trust and acceptability of results and other related information. This paper carried out an overview of cybercrime, introduced the concept, framework, and application of digital signature in online result processing.
