Appraisal of present commodity markets in Indian agriculture and ways to make markets better for present-day operations

India is predominantly agriculture orients economy more than 70% of people depend on agriculture as the primary occupation it is the major employer and determines the health of economy and development and growth of an economy. this sector is affected by many problems like lack of financial facilities and other infrastructural issues, the structure of Indian agriculture has made it venerable to price challenges , farmers are not able to get better price for their produce vowing to market inefficiencies and regulatory problems and other deficiencies , Hence to strengthen the price discovery mechanism in order to get better price for the agricultural products and to foster development of the sector ,to impact the life of people depended on the agriculture in a country which has remained one of the largest producers in world most of the commodities since time immemorial there is an urgent need to safe guard interest of various stake holders by providing them adequate hedging facilities through development of commodity derivatives

Channel estimation in MIMO-OFDM using blind adaptive technique

A new blind channel estimation scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems is proposed based on the maximum likelihood principle. In the Blind channel estimation scheme, the blind channel estimator is proposed based on the noise subspace method and establishes conditions for blind channel estimation in spatially multiplexed MIMO-OFDM systems. A novel approach is also proposed for resolving the phase ambiguity of the blind channel estimate without the need for any reference symbols. Simulations were performed for mobile radio environments with high Doppler frequencies and short-to-medium delay spreads. The achieved performance is comparable to that of pilot-based channel estimation for the case of QPSK-modulation

An automated examination system using cloud computing technology

Traditional Exam cell activity mostly includes a lot of manual paper work. The aim of the project is to build a centralized system so that all the examination activities can be done effectively and efficiently for both students and staff. The final system would constitute a computerized module aimed at replicating offline exam cell process. The system is a new concept which came into existence because of a large amount of data being on paper. The automated system for exam cell department will benefit both the students as well as exam cell department staff to easily handle the entire task related to exam cell in contrast to the existing manual system. This system will make the procedure of exam cell in an organized manner. Using this, paperwork and confusions can be reduced and the rate of work done can be increased. All the activities such as Exam form filling, ATKT form filling, photocopy and revaluation form filling, Form filling for RLE, Form LOR, MOI, Name Correction form etc. can be executed properly and easily using this automated system. With the help of this system, students can submit their forms online and will have no need to stand in a long queue waiting to submit their forms. The admin can also generate the Transcripts and Letter of Recommendation, and can also verify, confirm the photocopy and revaluation of each applied student by using the CLOUD COMPUTING Technology.

Accident avoidance using autonomous emergency breaking system and drowsiness detection

This an approach for detecting eye blink of a person and autonomous breaking system for accident avoidance. Our proposal consists of two stages, the first stage is to detect eye blink of a driver driving a car. The next stage is to avoid the accident by giving an indication that some object is coming from either side. We are using IR sensors, Arduino and ultrasonic sensors for eye blink and accident avoidance respectively. Driver fatigue is one of the major causes of accidents in the world. Detecting the drowsiness of the driver is one of the surest ways of measuring driver fatigue. In this project, we aim to develop a prototype drowsiness detection.

Engine performance and exhaust emission study on blends of biodiesel and petrodiesel

Presently diesel generation against consumption is seen as the problem for future. Therefore the alternative is required to be found out. Biodiesel is found the potential resource as an alternative to diesel. The present automobile industry which uses 100% diesel is to be replaced by the blend of diesel & biodiesel. The various biodiesel blends study is carried out & particularly for Palm-based biodiesel blends with petrodiesel is considered for the study. The present work is to study the engine performance & exhaust emission for optimum blend ratio of above-mentioned biodiesel petrodiesel blends. The experiments will be carried out & the result will be shown. The pure petrodiesel (100%) and blend ratio of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%and 35% will be taken for experiment. The literature says that the optimum blend ratio for biodiesel and petrodiesel is around 20%. The exhaust emission will also be studied. Care is taken during work, the existing engine should work with the suggested blend ratio and should give good engine performance and the exhaust emission should be minimum or within a tolerable limit.

To study the effects of manual hyperinflation and tracheal suctioning in mechanically ventilated patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia as compared to tracheal suction alone on static lung compliance (CL) and inspiratory airway resistance

Ventilator-associated pneumonia results from bacterial colonization of the aerodigestive tract or aspiration of contaminated secretions into the lower airways. As a consequence of infection of the lung parenchyma and alveolitis, accumulation of inflammatory exudates and infiltration of airway mucosa can lead to unfavorable respiratory mechanics in ventilator-associated pneumonia. Tracheal suction is often employed by Physiotherapists in the management of mechanically ventilated patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia but this technique has the potential to increase respiratory resistance. Manual hyperinflation is used by physiotherapists to improve lung volume and mobilise secretions and has been shown to increase lung compliance. Aims and Objectives: To demonstrate an additional mechanical benefit to the respiratory system when manual hyperinflation and suction techniques are combined, by comparing the application of manual hyperinflation and suction with suction alone on static lung compliance (CL) and Inspiratory resistance (RAW) in mechanically ventilated patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia. Study Design: Thirty patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia were recruited and a Crossover study with Randomisation of sequences was done. Manual hyperinflation followed by suction (manual hyperinflation plus suction) and suction alone were applied consecutively, in random order, on two occasions, four hours apart. Respiratory variables, CL and RAW, were measured five times and the averaged value documented. Data were recorded before, immediately after, and 30 minutes after each intervention protocol. Results: CL increased by 4% and RAW decreased by 10%, up to 30 minutes after Manual hyperinflation plus suction, but not after suction alone. Conclusion: This study suggests that manual hyperinflation in conjunction with suction induces beneficial changes in respiratory mechanics in mechanically ventilated patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia.
