Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the material which makes the concrete float and it should also have strength. Floating concrete is a type of concrete having a density less than water and it floats on water. There are many types of lightweight concrete that make concrete. Floating concrete is a kind of concrete having a thickness not as much as water. Floating concrete is non-structural concrete. This research investigates the properties of lightweight concrete by using a thermocol. In this technique, the thermocol is used for the preparation of the lightweight concrete and density is reduced to attain maximum efficiency, whereas the Self-weight of the structure is minimized thereby reducing the dead load on the structure.
