Abstract

In the era of the business world, organizations are in need of a workforce that is competent and productive. The employers are constantly looking for numerous ways to ensure that the organization stays ahead of the competition by shifting their focus on employee engagement. An "engaged employee" is defined as one who is fully absorbed by and enthusiastic about their work. If every part of human resources is not absorbed properly, employees fail to fully engage themselves in their job. Employee Engagement results in positive organizational performance that shows the two- way relationship between the employees and employer based on the foundation of employee commitment, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior. Engaged employees are enthusiastic and energetic, they care about what they do and have a sense of purpose in their work with a positive attitude towards the organization and its values.
