Avabahuka is one among the Vatavyadhi, which hampers the normal function of the upper limbs due to vataprakopa, mainly the shoola, bahupraspandan are the lakshana of Avabahuka. Here the the Snehana (Bruhman) chikitsa is the prime treatment for Vatavyadhi. ”Vatasyopakramah snahah swedah sashodhanah mruduh”(A.H.Su.13/1) Swalpamasha tail is one having vishesh vatahar property.Because it is having guru,ushna,snigdha guna. Acharya Chakara and Vagbhatt have mentioned that Nasya and Uttarabhaktika snehapana are more effective in Avabahuka . The study was conducted to assess the efficacy of Nasyakarma and Uttarbhaktika snehapana with swalpamasha tail in Avabahuka .
