There is hardly any professional, commercial Theatre in India. Currently the mainstream theatre is represented by amateur, Non-profit making Theatre Groups which is categorized as'Group Theatre (GT). The concept of GT in the world was incepted in America in 1929 There is a difference between GT snd professional, commercial Theatre.
