Abstract

Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) concerns the development of synergies between all players of our scientific knowledge community, as well as the creation of ties between science and society. The contribution of SSR compared to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is minimal at present and not well documented in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to present a systematic literature review of SSR. The components were identified through a detailed study of literature from the year 1947 to 2019 from various fields in order to evaluate SSR. The scope of this paper is to provide a broad overview and clarity on the topic of SSR. The paper also exclaims the draft policy implemented by India and how it aids in the betterment of society.
